For Polytechnic Course(Diploma)
Candidate should have passed 10th Standard

Lateral Entry in Polytechnic :
Candidate should have passed 12th with Science subjects or with vocational/technical subjects or 10 + 2 years ITI with appropriate specialization.

• Admissions to the aspiring boys and girls candidates seeking to undertake Diploma Education shall strictly follow the rules and norms of admission.
• The admissions will be strictly on the basis of merit.
• 20% seat of intake are Filled at the Institute level and on the basis of merit
• 80%seats of the institute of each course are filled in through the Centralized Admission Procedure ( CAP) Conducted by Uttrakhand Board of Technical Education, Roorkee ( UBTER) through online submission procedure

Admission of outside State (OMS) Candidate in unaided Polytechnic
If, after exhaustion of the general merit list of the candidates from Uttrakhand State there are some seats vacant in the unaided polytechnic, the candidates from the other states and Union Territories may be considered by preparing a separate merit list of these candidates these admissions shall be done by the Director/Principal(Roorkee College of Polytechnic, Roorkee)

Admission at Institute Level
• An advertisement shall be placed in the leading newspapers.
• Students desiring admission shall submit an application to the institute
• Eligible students shall be admitted on the basis of their merit
• At the time of admission students are required to pay requisite fees as prescribed by Roorkee College of Polytechnic, Roorkee and submit original documents of academic qualification and 4 passport size photographs.
